Nigerian musician Choke Boi adds another chapter to his 2026 run with “LONELY”, a collaborative afrobeats album out September.
The song follows January’s “Bend Am” which was recorded with Ruger and Fido, this time around Emijay and BEA join Choke Boi on the record. Their presence provides the release a three-artist lineup, rather than replicating the team behind his last song.
The production, which is under the Afrobeats banner, advances at a steady tempo, allowing the various vocal portions to settle into the arrangement. The structure keeps on the common performance and not bog down the record with extraneous alterations.
It gets a valuable early exposure through inclusion in Apple Music Afrobeats’ latest picks, and the collaboration also introduces Choke Boi to the listeners of Emijay and BEA. It maintains the slow build of his catalog following the notice around his last release this year.
The record is out on all of the main streaming services. Give it a listen and let me know what you think in the comments below.
