Nigerian rapper Double Gee2x teams up with Kellylivinglarge and Lil Frosh for “Esin Meta Lolaye,” a hip-hop release from August 2026 steeped in Yoruba street expression.
Double Gee2x takes us through the writing, struggle, hunger and disappointments of the online hustle, as he blends Yoruba, English and Pidgin in a recollection of hard times and hope for better days. It’s another street-rap voice to the record in the form of Lil Frosh, following his earlier collab with Kellylivinglarge on “Shalewa (IGS Memories).
Double Gee2x calls it as “Trapruba,” a blend of rap and Yoruba-led phrasing, and a fast-paced rhythmic approach that is a trap-influenced sound. The diverse deliveries keep the partnership alive throughout its phases.
The single comes as Double Gee2x continues to make waves in Nigeria’s burgeoning street-rap scene. Its familiar vocabulary, everyday struggles, and three-artist format provide multiple lines of connection for listeners drawn to current indigenous rap.
