Set around the Akan word for money, “Sika” reunites Ghanaian rapper Medikal with Ghanaian dancehall singer Shatta Wale for another rap and dancehall collaboration in 2026.
The writing is about money, ambition, and the chase for financial success. Medikal takes the rap-led sections, while Shatta Wale brings his dancehall presence to the exchange. The tune follows Medikal’s September duet “Allo” with Kelvyn Boy.
The Atown TSB production is somewhat mid-tempo hip-hop that allows for both performers but doesn’t break up the song into discrete pieces.
The partnership already has history through “Shoulder,” their 2025 collaboration also produced by Atown TSB. That prior relationship offers “Sika” an instant audience with listeners who know their previous work together.
“Sika” is available to stream on all major digital streaming platforms. Drop your comments after listening to the new Medikal and Shatta Wale link-up.
