One of four solo songs on Still In Charge, “Deliberate Work” maintains Nigerian act BNXN in the spotlight of his latest six-song CD.
The EP follows “Online,” which was released just before the whole project. This record affords BNXN another break to deliver the performance without relying on a featured vocal.
The song was produced by Blaisebeatz who previously produced Asake’s “Eja Meja”. The focus here is less on a large-scale collaboration and instead on BNXN’s own melodic delivery, giving the producer yet another role to play in the overall sound of the project.
That mix of features and solo tracks is what lets Still In Charge stay recognizably BNXN’s project. His repertoire has long been known for a particular tone and conversational composition, and this record allows those elements to breathe without any added star power surrounding them.
The song can be streamed on all major digital platforms. Check it out and share your thoughts in the comments below.
