South African singer Olefied Khetha returns with a stunning remix of his emotive tune “iStep Father” featuring rap heavyweight Big Zulu. The new version, out October 1, 2026, via Sony Music Entertainment Africa, adds a bit of lyrical weight to the song.
iStep Father (Remix) is a story about responsibility, commitment, and stepping into a family role with honest intention at its heart. The song is delivered with the melodic touch of Olefied Khetha, while Big Zulu’s authoritative rap presence rounds out the record, confirming the record’s message about a man who’s prepared to remain there and care for his partner and her child despite the biological father’s absence.
This remix contains the emotional base of the original but adds Big Zulu’s unique hip-hop style. It fuses South African hip-hop and hip-kwaito to create a sound that has both musical character and a relevant story arc.
Olefied Khetha remixes one of his noteworthy tracks and features Big Zulu on a ballad about family, loyalty, and stepping up when it counts.
