On the second song from his new project, Islambo teams up for a new collaboration. MERAKI is an informal four-track offering that showcases Informal’s Nigerian heritage and his passion for collaboration. The song also has Magicsticks on it, which gives the track a unique flavor.
You can see the collaboration-driven strategy behind this release. The tracks on MERAKI all seem like a conversation, Islambo combining his approach with his partners. As the project progresses, Informal stands out, offering a glimpse into the synergy that defines the whole EP.
There are only four tracks, so the project doesn’t have much room for filler. Magicsticks appears on the second cut, reinforcing the collaborative-first writing attitude. Out in 2026, Islambo’s work provides a distinctive voice to the current Nigerian music industry, emphasizing connection and collaborative innovation.
