Ghanaian recording artist and 2Hype Gang member Showbezzy teams up with melodic vocal talent Foreign Girl for a gritty, reflective hip-hop sequel titled ‘On My Own II’ from his studio EP Lonely at the Top.
A heart-wrenching offering arriving just when West African hip-hop purists and lovers of street pop are looking for sincere albums that explore solitude, self-reliance, and surviving personal betrayal. Showbezzy gets vulnerable and teams up with Foreign Girl to break down the emotional toll of taking the lonely road to success and keeping his peace away from fake pals.
The sound architect behind the boards crafts a moody mid-tempo soundscape built on banging kick drums, snappy hi-hat rolls, and deep sub-bass lines. The pristine sound engineering gives the mix plenty of room to breathe, so every bar gets through cleanly.
Showbezzy is leading the record with his distinctive textured rasp, while Foreign Girl offers peaceful, evocative songs.
