Abochi, a Ghanaian singer and producer, has teamed up with Ghanaian rapper Medikal on “Long Distance,” reviving a connection that can be heard on their 2021 tune “Show Me Something.”
Romance is the core theme of the song, with Abochi providing the melodic side and Medikal providing a rap addition to the discussion. The release also comes after Abochi’s recent record performances, including Palayblay’s “Sleepless Nights.”
The music was produced by Abochi, giving him creative control of the record beyond his vocal contribution. This also allows his vocals to play off Medikal’s verse, with each artist playing a different part in the duet.
It’s hardly a brand new partnership, and that history between both performers definitely helps the reunion. It also gives Abochi yet another major Ghanaian partnership as he continues to add fresh content to his 2026 library.
“Long Distance” is out now on all major digital streaming platforms. Check out the collab and leave your opinions in the comments below.
