One of just two collaborations on Nigerian Afro-fusion singer BNXN’s Still In Charge, BNXN and FOLA once again team up on “Shamaya”.
The project follows “Online” and the partnership itself maintains a working connection previously heard on “Very Soon” from CAPTAIN. FOLA once again provides a contrasting melodic presence, giving both singers opportunity to deliver their own distinct styles on the song.
SBthaproducer and Jhay2unez share producing credit, building a consistent arrangement around the two vocal performances instead than cluttering the partnership with needless alterations.
Coming at a time when both musicians have established themselves in Nigerian Afropop, the reunion is more than just an experiment for the first time. Their previous album has already set the familiar tone and this fresh addition brings it into BNXN’s latest endeavor.
You may listen to the music on all major streaming services. Check out the collab and let us know what you think in the comments.
