A new standalone release keeps a prolific 2026 for Cheque, who already has had a big year with “ANDALE” thanks to his new songs and expanding ventures for the Nigerian rapper and vocalist.
Released in August, “Timeless” is the latest in Cheque’s current line of solo releases, maintaining the sound in the melodic rap and Afropop lane that has been a constant in his repertoire.
The record is placed in the Afrobeats arena, tapping the crossover approach Cheque has built between rap and melody, allowing his vocal style space to continue being the distinctive part of the presentation.
Cheque comes into this album with a solid repertoire spearheaded by tracks like “Zoom”, “History” and “Back Outside”. That familiarity provides him newer material with an immediate audience, while also giving him the chance to keep evolving away from the smash tracks that initially pushed his name forward.
