On the fourth song of the sprawling twenty-song record, “My Music,” Dzo 729 makes a strong statement on “First Time.” The South African musician keeps a tight but effective presence throughout this 2026 album.
First Time, early in the sequence, anchors the album’s energy, offering a glimpse of Dzo 729’s artistic approach in an expansive compilation. The track’s placement permits it to play a crucial role in the project’s multifaceted narrative without overplaying its hand.
This song is part of My Music, a collection of twenty tracks. There is a conscious choice in editing here, with an emphasis on precision and clarity. Dzo 729 does his thing here from a South African angle, one that fits the record.
