After a constant stream of releases in 2026, Fido keeps the trend going with “For Me,” another offering from the Nigerian hitmaker as his library continues to attract wider Afrobeats audiences.
The track follows up on “Friends With Benefits (F.W.B)”, released earlier in September, and switches to romance, with Fido talking about love and the position someone has in his life.
Melody features heavily on the record, with Fido taking a casual vocal approach over a steady Afrobeats groove. The orchestration is still subservient to the hook, letting his performance carry the song organically.
Already, records like “Awolowo” and “Joy Is Coming” have helped cement Fido with listeners beyond his first audience. This recent CD offers him another opportunity to continue that streak while adding to the melodic part of his expanding library.
The record is on all the major digital streaming services. Give it a listen and let us know what you think in the comments below.
