“LIGHT OF DAWN” is featured on ZUKO!, the October 2026 studio album from Nigerian musician Fireboy DML. Aifo and Nxrth are credited with production.
It refers to the first arrival of daylight, making it a somewhat unusual title for an album whose fundamental character is built on personal transformation. Fireboy has defined this stage of his career as a time of self-awareness, and the project explores a different creative presentation than his previous work.
Aifo and Nxrth contributed to the production, mixing the recording. Nxrth had previously worked on a handful of Fireboy releases including on material from Adedamola, extending an already established creative partnership with the singer.
Over the course of five studio albums, Fireboy has gradually shed the romantic lyricism that once earned him his name. He’s still willing to get into personal experiences and changing opinions, and that still means something to listeners who have grown up with him since his breakthrough.
The song is now on all the major digital streaming services. Listen and let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
