IGqumelasha and UKhoz’olumpunga collaborate on Ize Leze, an album brimming with South African musical styles and storytelling. The collaboration brings the artists together through emotive vocals, traditional rhythms, and musical arrangements related to the Maskandi culture.
In Ize Leze the artists employ storytelling to investigate experiences from ordinary life, relationships and social intercourse. Their partnership is concerned with poetic expression and cultural influences, and the songs are linked to topics that appeal to listeners familiar with traditional South African music.
