King Promise, the Ghanaian Afropop artist, has added “Melody” to his 2026 repertoire, following a year of releases and collaborations, and extending his musical career after the collaborative album See What We’ve Done with Mr Eazi.
It comes after a time in which King Promise has been testing numerous versions of modern African pop. His songwriting is always characterized by distinctive melodies, and his singing is emotive, and it’s one of the things that makes him stand out in Ghana’s music business.
The vocalist has built a distinctive musical personality through a number of projects, drawing on highlife, Afrobeats and modern R&B. His ability to translate these influences into accessible pop albums has been fundamental to his development as a performer.
In the meantime, his True to Self album and the international hit of “Terminator” have established his status beyond Ghana. That established fanbase is a base for his upcoming works, as he continues to build his collection.
