Nigerian music producer and sound curator KRL Soundz teams up with the rapidly growing street-pop phenomenon Mavo on an infectious, joyous party hit, “Happy Birthday.”
This lively record comes at a time when aficionados of Afrobeats and street-hop are looking for feel-good melodies to soundtrack personal milestones, anniversary parties, and seasonal celebrations. As we step into another year of life and elevation, KRL Soundz and Mavo join forces to bring a joyful, high-spirited jam focused on thankfulness, toasts to progress, and non-stop dancing with day-one partners.
Producer Ufedo builds a joyful mid-tempo Afro-pop soundscape behind the boards fueled by banging kick drums, snappy percussion shakers, and vibrant melodic synth keys. The rhythm is underpinned by a rolling bassline, keeping a constant bounce and leaving plenty of room in the mix for the vocals to cut through effectively.
Mavo comes right out the gate with his typical high-intensity delivery, lyrical cadences, and seductive street elegance. His joyous performance drags listeners right into the pocket of the beat with ease.
The songwriting is about longevity, claiming blessings and showing up with your circle. Stream “Happy Birthday” on your favorite digital music service today!
