South African Afro-pop and R&B artist Mawelele returns to a familiar creative space on his September 2026 song, “Ngiyaz’fela,” featuring rapper Kwesta.
The title translates to “I’m in love with you,” which fits a tune that’s about saying what you feel, rather than hiding it. The new song follows Mawelele’s solo hit “Forever” and Mawelele and Kwesta’s earlier collaboration on “All My Life.”
Produced by Kinglee Beats and co-produced by Mawelele, it’s a mix of R&B and Afro-pop, with Mawelele’s melodicism blending with Kwesta’s opposing rap, all while keeping the romantic heart intact.
The reunion is good weight after “All My Life” bagged him a Metro FM Award for Best R&B Song. That history offers the new cooperation an immediate audience while also boosting his South African R&B repertoire.
