Nigerian gospel minister and praise vocalist on the rise Promise Ebelechukwu returns to the music scene with a calming, faith-based single “Soft On Me”.
This soul-stirring release arrives at a time when modern gospel aficionados, everyday Christians and introspective listeners are seeking melodic, message-driven records that explore heavenly grace, compassionate favor and spiritual consolation. With his energetic delivery and sincere ministry, Promise Ebelechukwu continues to make steady inroads across the regional circuit. On “Soft On Me” he crafts a tranquil soundscape dedicated to praising how God’s unearned mercy lightens heavy loads and eases the hard stresses of daily life.
The sound architect builds a bright mid-tempo Afro-gospel soundscape with catchy guitar licks, lovely keyboard progressions and snappy percussion shakers. A rolling drum kick drives under a fluid bassline, keeping the groove swinging with an enticing bounce without overwhelming the mix. The pristine sound engineering meanwhile allows enough of breathing room throughout the composition, letting his passionate pronouncements and layered backing harmonies cut through with immaculate clarity.
Promise Ebelechukwu takes the mike with experienced pitch control, rich cadences and vibrant praising intensity. He’s comfortable working at the patient speed, coming with true conviction from the first drop. Songwriting is about laying down anxiety, asking heaven for ongoing ease, and witnessing to the quiet ways divine favor smoothens the way.
