Fast-rising Ghanaian recording artist and street lyricist RICCH KID jumps into a gritty, battle-ready mentality with a furious, street-certified hip-hop cut, “JackBoy,” on his studio LP SOMEWHERE IN THE STREETS.
This hard-hitting record comes at a time when West African hip-hop purists, street-hop fanatics, and trap fiends are on the lookout for gritty, message-driven anthems based on trench vigilance, perseverance, and survival values. RICCH KID uses “JackBoy” to expose the tough truths of the hustle, dealing with neighborhood discord and maneuvering through high-stakes scenarios without losing concentration.
The sound architect creates a dark, frightening soundtrack with eerie melodic loops, understated ambient pads, and snappy percussive shakers. Deep sliding 808 sub-basslines keep the bounce powerful without cluttering the lyrical arena.
RICCH KID takes the mike with his signature rough voice and powerful presence.
