“Oruko Jesu” (“the name of Jesus” in Yoruba) is a gospel track by Nigerian music minister Testimony Jaga, released via Street Gospel Empire in October 2026.
Following his September album “TESTIFY,” the artist is still spreading his Christian faith via song. The new title puts Jesus in the spotlight, which is consistent with a message intimately associated with his life-long devotion to evangelism and gospel ministry.
Testimony Jaga is popular for blending Fuji elements with contemporary gospel music to create a unique style of indigenous Christian music. At the same time, his use of Yoruba vocabulary helps to convey religious teachings in a language familiar to many of his listeners.
In addition to his records, the singer has also been active in the Street Gospel Movement, a mixture of evangelism and community service. That relationship offers his music an added reason to exist outside entertainment. His existing fanbase provides an audience for the latest release.
