Afrobeats icon and entertainer D’Banj brings back memories of the global dancefloor with an exhilarating club remix, “Oliver Twist (Extended Remix)” starring international turntable maestro DJ Katch.
The high-voltage rework arrives at the perfect time for Afrobeats purists and nightclub ravers who demand turbocharged dance songs that merge classic African music history with modern club energy. D’Banj’s original is a classic, and it helped spark the global Afrobeats explosion. DJ Katch’s addition creates an expansive, festival-sized electronic drive built for late-night turn-ups.
The sound architect crafts a scorching, uptempo soundscape with banging kick drums, snappy percussion shakers, and a rolling, irresistible bassline. Booming synth transitions and crisp drum breaks swell below the groove, upping the tempo without overwhelming the arrangement.
D’Banj runs the track with his trademark charming delivery and humorous swagger, while DJ Katch sharpens the pacing. The songwriting is all about the power of wanting something all the time, having a blast on the dance floor, and ruling the roost at night.
