Ghana’s fast-rising street-hop writer Gonaboy makes a strong entrance into the music front line with a furious, energy-packed solo album tagged “Mix Mix (King Size).”
As West African hip-hop purists, drill lovers, and nightlife seekers are on the quest for raw, unapologetic songs that celebrate young culture, individualism, and uncensored street freedom, this blazing drop could not come at a better time. Gonaboy has earned a reputation in the region through his gritty delivery and realistic calligraphy, riding the momentum from past hits like “Hollata Story” (KingSize). He catches the electrifying pulse of nightlife, making a swagger-heavy banger made to be blasted in clubs late at night.
Producers Zeglo, Bookah, and Cyclops produce pounding kick drums, sharp hi-hat rolls, flowing subterranean basslines and a powerful atmosphere. Urgent bounce pulses beneath the rhythm as haunting synth loops slide.
Gonaboy takes the track with his usual textured rasp and seasoned flow.
