Nigerian musician and composer Runda’s “Adúmáradán” appears on his 2026 EP Okafor’s Law. The title is a Yoruba word often used to compliment someone’s beauty.
The title is a nod to Runda’s knowledge of Yoruba phrases, a trait that can also be found in his previous single “Afunimawobe”, released in May 2026, and also included on the same EP. Throughout his career, his relationship with Lagos and its quotidian language has been part of his artistic foundation.
The recording is from the project’s Afrosounds collection, listing only Runda as the performing artist. At two minutes and forty-nine seconds, it maintains the short format adopted for the six-track release.
Runda has established his career on a blend of Afropop, personal storytelling, and locally influenced songwriting, and has developed a following interested in his distinctive musical identity. The recording also makes a cultural reference, easily recognized by Nigerian listeners, to the familiar Yoruba proverb that provides the title.
The song is available to stream on all major digital platforms. Listen and tell us what you think in the comments below.
