Ghanaian recording artiste and 2Hype Gang member Showbezzy teams up with Kumasi rap heavyweight Ypee to serve us a hard-hitting street anthem titled “Pokua” from his album Lonely at the Top.
This is a timely collaboration as West African hip-hop purists and street-pop aficionados look for punchy, rhythm-heavy tunes glorifying street supremacy, hustle, and unshakable confidence. Showbezzy joins forces with Ypee to offer an obvious statement piece designed to shake sound systems and weekend rotations.
The producer builds a joyful mid-tempo soundscape with hammering kick drums, sharp hi-hat rolls, and rolling sub-bass lines underneath the boards. The roomy sonic engineering provides enough headroom across the arrangement, so every gritty punchline connects with clarity.
Showbezzy takes control of the mike with his trademark textured rasp and street swagger, and Ypee walks into the booth to give rapid-fire Twi flows and seasoned authority.
