Reggae Tahiti is a Tahitian roots ensemble, and their new record, Children Of Ocean, is a soul-stirring, uplifting, conscious tune.
This tear-jerking drop comes at a time when island reggae fans and sound system aficionados are on the hunt for real, message-driven songs paying tribute to Polynesian history and maritime culture. Reggae Tahiti continues to blaze a trail for global appreciation on the international circuit for merging native Pacific energy with classic Jamaican roots beats. On Children Of Ocean, the ensemble pays a moving tribute to the deep ancestral connection to the sea, environmental harmony, and cultural pride.
The sound architect crafts an organic, mid-tempo, roots reggae foundation propelled by rhythmic guitar chops, warm Hammond organ chords, and snappy percussion shakers. A deep strolling bassline slides beneath steady one-drop drums with ease, keeping a soothing head-nodding beat.
Reggae Tahiti heads the record with deep vocal harmonies and heartfelt delivery.
