Umhlekisi – Isiqumama

South African singer Umhlekisi has the fourth tune on his 2026 release, A Pledge, called Isiqumama. This project has six tracks, and the song appears toward the end of the CD.

Isiqumama introduces a specific occasion in the six-song collection and so contributes to the larger story of A Pledge. The project will be released in 2026 and is a modern addition to the catalog of Umhlekisi.

Thanks to the album’s format, Isiqumama can be track four and plays a key role in the project by linking the early and later parts of the album. This arrangement highlights Umhlekisi’s intentional sequencing as a promise.
