Tanzanian artist Ibraah has teamed up with Bongo Flava veteran Dully Sykes on the joint single “Pozi” which was released on October 15, 2026. The song is a collaboration between two performers from different eras of Tanzanian music, mixing the modern style of Ibraah with the established reputation of Dully Sykes in the genre.
The title “Pozi” loosely translates to “Attitude,” “Swag” or “Pose” in Swahili, conveying the concepts of confidence, personal style and lifestyle. The song’s beautiful vocal melody and classic Bongo Flava tempo play on a recognizable facet of the genre while spotlighting the unique contributions of both vocalists.
“Pozi” is track number 18 off Ibraah’s massive 50 track studio album, 1B. The Other Side of Face. The singer’s partnership with one of the country’s veteran music personalities is joining the project.
Ibraah and Dully Sykes are joining forces to fuse modern Bongo Flava with the sound and impact of the old guard. Thanks to the cooperation, “Pozi” is a standout track on the album for aficionados of Tanzanian music and Swahili Afro-pop.
