Nigerian Afrosounds musician Vasa offers a message of determination on the tune “RRGA,” released in October 2026 under Ziiki Media. Vasa is known for his unique singing style and utilizes the tune to highlight the difficulties of trying to be successful and still have the drive to keep going forward.
Vasa, aka the artist, wrote “RRGA” by Freedom Ali, which is about tenacity, ambition, and the truth of working for a brighter future. The key meaning of the song is captured in the lyric, “The wicked no dey rest, so we digging for gold,” highlighting the drive to keep pushing on despite the challenges and competition.
The record is a musical fusion of Vasa’s hypnotic voice delivery, powerful Nigerian Afrosounds production, and atmospheric log drums. This mix offers the single a unique atmosphere, with introspective themes yet a sound that keeps pushing forward. Rather of focusing simply on the rewards of success, “RRGA” focuses on the effort and persistence required to obtain it.
The release adds to Vasa’s increasing collection following his work surrounding Book of Vasa and its next chapter. “RRGA” is just another window to the ambition and personal drive that fuels his craft as he strives to carve out his space in the Nigerian music landscape.
