Ghanaian highlife sensation Cojo Rae teams up with Kumasi rap heavyweight Ypee on a colorful, rhythm-heavy bonus cut dubbed “Lala.”
This irresistible collabo comes at a time when Afro-fusion lovers are craving feel-good anthems that fuse current highlife melodies with cutting street rap flows. The tune is featured on his studio project Gen Z Highlife and combines Cojo Rae’s young melodic appeal and Ypee’s experienced rap clout to form a certified party bop.
The architect of the sound behind the boards crafts a joyful, mid-tempo environment, dominated by bright electric guitar riffs, rolling basslines, and snappy percussion shakers. The sound engineering is spacious, providing ample headroom all throughout the arrangement, making sure that every melody and rhyme cuts through the mix with absolute clarity.
The cut is fronted by Cojo Rae’s silken vocals and enticing sing-a-long chorus. Ypee walks into the booth to add high energy with rapid-fire Twi punchlines.
