OGB is a Nigerian comic creator and recording artist. The latest reconnection is with up-and-coming street lyricist Cartel Omebo on a high octane street hymn named “Debit.”
This dynamic duo emerges at the appropriate time for street-pop aficionados and Afro-fusion lovers looking for funny, rhythm-heavy tunes influenced by everyday economic reality and street grit. OGB Recent brings his typical humorous flair into the booth, joining forces with Cartel Omebo’s raw street posture to create an unmistakable party bop.
Behind the boards, the sound architect crafts a joyful mid-tempo atmosphere underpinned by banging kick drums, snappy percussion shakers, and a rolling sub-bassline. Bright melodic synth loops glide effortlessly across the rhythm, retaining the tempo’s forward surge while leaving plenty of breathing space for the vocal banter.
OGB Recent’s got the mic on lockdown, with cheeky charisma and pithy Pidgin catchphrases that stick straight away. Cartel Omebo raise the bar a notch higher with crisp street verses.
